Fun Drama Games!!!

If any of you like fun games to play when you can't think of anything else, you chose the right place to come here!

1. YOU! (game)

To start out, you have to get a group of people together - maybe four or more. Someone starts out by pointing at someone else, and shouting, "YOU!", but without screaming. Then that person has to top that by yelling it louder, pointing at another person. It keeps going until someone decides to say, "YOU!" a little bit softer, and then it goes with pointing and eye contact. Have questions? Comment~!

2. I Have A.....

You have a piece of long fabric. What are you going to do with it, you ask? Again, get a couple of friends together. The object of this game is to be creative. For example, you could say, "This is my bandana," and show it by using the fabric in the way that a bandana is used. Go around to everyone twice, and watch at all the kooky things you and your friends can come up with! Have fun!

3. I'm Going to a Party...

This is a memory game! Have one person start out with saying their name and a thing they're going to bring - but the catch is, you have to think up a word that begins with the first letter of your first name. Here's an example: "My name is Lauren, and I'm bringing lemonade". A second one "My name is Zoe and I'm bringing zest," or something. You have to all the way around the circle, repeating your friends' names and the item that they're bringing, and then add your name and the item you're bringing. Have fun!

4. Statue Shift!

Get a group of friends/family together, and play this game! Have one person be in charge of playing music and stopping it at random points. When the music stops, freeze. Then the person in charge of the music will pick someone to do a pose. They keep their body in the pose, and the music should start up again. Then the person that's the "statue" should pick another person to "add on" to her/him. But they have to be touching an arm or something...the statue is connected! Keep playing until everyone has a turn.

Wreyteng Tiip off Septehmber

This is about gramattical errors! (If you can see, look above at the heading for FOUR of them! And yes, that was on purpose.)

If you write, but can't spell correctly, then that's a problem for you. And I have some advice that will help you GET. RID. OF. THAT. PROBLEM.!

Sound it out. If you think "February sounds like F.e.b.u.a.r.y.," so you spell it that way, you're not going to get it right if you keep doing it that way. So sound it out, write it out a couple times on scrap paper, and pick which one seems right to you. So, here is but a mere example:

SPELL THE WORD RESTAURANT.

Restaraunt
Restraunt
Restaraunt
Restaurant

Which sounds better? The last one, I hope that's what you all said! Cross out the other three, and circle the last one. Then spell it right on your real paper!

Back to February. So it's a toughie word, huh? And I bet none of you can remember the R. Think my little saying: "February is TOO cold for ice cReam." or pronounce it how it's spelled: "Feb.ru.ary.

You could also sound it out by syllable. February has three.

I hope these helped you, and do well in both spelling and writing!

-'Renzo

PS. did you catch the four spelling errors?

Acting tips

Hi!
It's your one and only Emma the actress!
Here are some tips too for when acting:
1. Am I cheating? Cheating is when you are standing half towards the audience and half towards the actors. This is important so it looks like your looking towards your fellow actors and the audience can see your face. Remember to avoid turning your back to the audience.
2. How's my posture? Am I slumping in a happy scene? Straiten your shoulders and stand up tall. Look forward, not down. Make sure your posture coveys what your character's feeling. Some examples: Sad= slumping, eyes down. Happy= Good posture, head up.
3. Where's my cue? Listen for your cue. It's horrible to miss your line! If you pay attention and put yourself into the character it's easier to remember and say lines.
4. Put your self in the characters place. Become the character, don't just act the character.
Thanks,
Em
