Congrats!

Hey everyone!
It's my pleasure to announce that our very own Lauren Emily has graduated from eighth grade!

Acting tips

Hi!
It's your one and only Emma the actress!
Here are some tips too for when acting:
1. Am I cheating? Cheating is when you are standing half towards the audience and half towards the actors. This is important so it looks like your looking towards your fellow actors and the audience can see your face. Remember to avoid turning your back to the audience.
2. How's my posture? Am I slumping in a happy scene? Straiten your shoulders and stand up tall. Look forward, not down. Make sure your posture coveys what your character's feeling. Some examples: Sad= slumping, eyes down. Happy= Good posture, head up.
3. Where's my cue? Listen for your cue. It's horrible to miss your line! If you pay attention and put yourself into the character it's easier to remember and say lines.
4. Put your self in the characters place. Become the character, don't just act the character.

Hi! I'm Emma and I'm currently in sixth grade.
I love acting, reading, singing, dancing, and writing and can't wait to share advice and hints about them. I'm a vegetarian, red cross certified for baby sitting, and a runner. I'm creative and a little dramatic which I put toward my acting and dance. I love all animals but my favorite is a rabbit.
I just started playing piano in January 2010 and I really love it.
I love to play soccer and I have played since I was about 5.
My dad is my soccer coach.
I like to climb rock walls.I climb at Nike where my dad works.There I am on the climbing team and compete in bouldering.

My name is Lauren. I am now a freshman in high school (that picture was taken in June before eighth grade started in September), so I should probably try to update my picture. Like one from graduation, maybe.
